Chippewa Valley Chapter Announces a Bigger and Better Banquet at a New Location
The Chippewa Valley Chapter of Pheasants Forever is excited to announce our new and improved annual fundraising banquet on Thursday, March 8, 2012. It's bigger and better than ever, starting with the location - St. Mary's Community Center at 1828 Lynn Ave. in Altoona, WI 54720. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. St. Mary's offers a huge increase in floorspace over previous years, allowing more room for guns, games, displays, and easy viewing of raffle and auction items, along with enjoying lots of elbow room for relaxed conversation and a great meal with fellow outdoors enthusiasts. As always, 100% of the money raised at this banquet stays local and helps support conservation efforts in the Chippewa Valley.
We're thankful for all the constructive comments we've received on our gun raffles and want you to know your words have not fallen on deaf ears. This year we're featuring more guns and top name brands like Ithaca/SKB, Remington, Benelli, and Browning, including a super-sweet 12 gauge Citori Superlight. It'll be a tight race to see whether St. Mary's home cookin' or the improved gun selection makes your mouth water more! And if you REALLY want to boost your chances of winning a gun, why not get your buddies together and reserve a table for 4 or 8 people? Each comes with the guarantee that one person at that table WILL WIN a gun! Tables of 4 reserve for $500 and include a gun valued at $300 retail, and tables of 8 reserve for $800 and include a $500 value gun. Plus, your banquet ticket, meal, and annual Pheasants Forever membership are included in the price.
We're continuing the always-popular limited draw birdhouse raffle for a Matthews bow. There's also a great selection of silent auction and live auction items including art, clothing, and outdoor gear, plus outstanding guided hunting and fishing trips. We appreciate the support of our past sponsors and are always on the lookout for new sponsors who would like to donate items or services to our banquet. If you or your business would like to make a donation or you'd like more information on sponsor levels, packages or to reserve a table, please contact Tim Schultz at 715-559-4997, Schultz.Tim@gmail.com.
Plan now to attend the annual Pheasants Forever banquet at St. Mary's on March 8th. See you there!

Pheasants Forever's unique system empowers county chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100% of their locally raised conservation funds will be spent.
PF, and sister quail division, are the only national conservation organizations that operate through this truly grassroots structure. As a result, grassroots chapter volunteers are able to see the fruits of their efforts locally, while belonging to a larger national organization with a voice on federal and state conservation policy.
This is a unique distinction. Last year alone, those chapter volunteers completed over 20,000 habitat projects. Similarly, Pheasants Forever has always recognized the impact federal Farm Bill policy has on wildlife habitat. Consequently, PF has played an active role in Farm Bill policy development and implementation, which includes the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). CRP is this country's single most effective conservation program benefiting soil, water, and wildlife.
Pheasants Forever has more than 110,000 members in over 600 local chapters across the United States and Canada. The national headquarters is located in St. Paul, Minnesota where the organization was founded.
